The UAE badminton team delegation left from Dubai International Airport to Kuwait Airport to participate in the West Asian Championship competitions from 04 to 07 November, followed by the Arab Championship competitions from 09 to 12 November.
The first group included 13 people who represented the UAE delegation in the West Asian Championship, headed by Nasser Al-Marri, Secretary General of the Federation and Chairman of the National Teams Committee, and Mona Al-Sahlawi, a member of the Board of Directors in her capacity as administrative supervisor, and the coaches Mahmoud Taifor, Samer Hamza, Suhad Owais, and the players Hamid Al-Mazrouei, Abdulaziz Yahya, Muhammad Salem, Muhammad Khalfan, and the female players. Ghadeer Al-Tahri, Farah Ibrahim, Hind Saeed, and Maryam Al-Hamid.
The West Asian Badminton Championship competitions include the age groups under 15 years (born in 2008/2009) and under 17 years (born in 2006/2007). Competitions will be held for boy's singles, girl's singles, boy's doubles, and girls double on The Olympic Committee Venue in Kuwait.
The technical meeting of the tournament was held today, Friday, 04.11 at 05:00 pm.
Sixty-eight male and female players representing 9 countries are participating, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kuwait (the host), Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan.
