Dubai, 11th June 2023. The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) and the UAE Badminton Federation (UAEBF) are thrilled to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today at the Dubai Sports World, reinforcing their commitment to promoting and developing the sport of badminton.
The MOU, signed at the prestigious Dubai Sports World venue, sets the stage for collaboration and exchange programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of athletes, coaches, and technical officials. The agreement encompasses various aspects of badminton development, including training, competitions, coach education, sports science, sports medicine, and more.
Both BAM and UAEBF recognize the significance of fostering talent and ensuring the growth of badminton within their respective countries. The MOU establishes a framework for joint initiatives that will contribute to the advancement and success of the sport in Malaysia and support the young federation in the UAE.
With its state-of-the-art facilities and 17 dedicated badminton courts, Dubai Sports World is an ideal venue for hosting training camps, competitions, and educational programs. The signing of this MOU marks an exciting new chapter in the collaboration between BAM and UAEBF, highlighting their shared commitment to the development and excellence of badminton.
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, President of BAM, expressed his enthusiasm, "This partnership represents a significant milestone for BAM and UAEBF. Through this collaboration, we aim to elevate the standard of badminton and provide a platform for aspiring athletes to excel."

This MOU will be instrumental in supporting the growth and development of badminton in the UAE as we learn from the experience and expertise of one of the best federations in the world."
The MOU will be effective immediately, and both parties are committed to implementing and coordinating the agreed-upon activities and programs. The duration of the MOU is initially set for two years, with the possibility of renewal upon mutual consent.
